Loved it. loved it so much.
I cannot believe the series is over. By the last 100 pages I kept checking to see how many pages were left every chapter because I couldn't believe I was nearing the end. It's very difficult to end a series and many authors do not succeed. They take an otherwise brilliant story and universe and fall on their faces trying to accomplish too much, too little, or swerving and going in a completely new direction.
This did not happen here. This story picks up where Unravel Me leaves off and sweeps you along right away. I devoured these books and I'm glad that I did.
Guys. I want Kenji to be MY best friend. I have not had a best friend crush this hard in so long. He is now my fictional BFF. In addition, the romance in book 3 has come into its own in a beautiful and electrifying way. I was way more into this angle than the desperate shallow love that existed in books 1 and 2. I see now that Mafi intended that. #TeamWarner all the way.
My total investment in these characters, is a testament to her writing prowess. (if you want to hear me gush about what a great writer she is, see my previous posts).
I plan to go out and buy this complete series including the novellas. Once that's done, I'll see you back here to discuss.
