"Extroverts are nothing if not reliable" - Rainbow Rowell

Title: Kindred Spirits

Author: Rainbow Rowell

Publisher: MacMillan

Published: 2016

I don't feel like I need to remind any of you about my unholy obsession with all things Rainbow Rowell, right? So when she released a special edition novella for World Book Day that was only available in the UK, I basically flipped out. I searched and searched and was unable to find it anywhere.

Then, when all hope seemed lost, bookstagram-to-the-rescue. The amazing @thewayfaringbookworm received way too many copies of the book in the mail and made them available to anyone who wanted to snag a copy (just pay packaging/shipping). For the low price of $5 I received 2 copies (I told you she was amazing) of the story and read it immediately.

It's a short story about a nerdy girl who has decided to wait in line to see the new Star Wars movie. It's everything she dreaded it would be! JK, there are only 3 people in line, including her, and it's a week-long experiment in hobo-ness on the streets of Omaha in December.

It's as heartwarming and adorable as the usual Rowell stuff, while being about Star Wars (which is always a plus).

I'm afraid my review will be longer than the book... If anyone is interested in grabbing the second copy I received, please comment or message me on instagram. I'll gladly pay-it-forward.
