Gratitude

This month I resolved to think about what I'm grateful for every day. I wrote the first thing that popped into my head each day on a pumpkin (see above) and whenever I was feeling down I took a look at the pumpkin to remind myself.

In honor of the one month a year we all remember how great we've got it (sarcasm, so rude), I am sharing a little something I had in my journal. A few of my favorite YouTubers did this a while back and I started thinking about it too. So much of what we hear/see/watch/read is negative. Think about the positive every so often. Here are my favorite feelings or things that make me happy. What are yours?

My Favorite Feelings

1. When I'm trying to teach someone something difficult and the lightbulb goes off and they suddenly get it

2. When I'm reading a book and come to a page that says or explains the title

3. When I see someone I haven't seen in a long time and it's like no time has passed. There is no akwardness or reminiscing, we just pick up where we left off.

4. Completing a physical activity that I had previously deemed too hard for myself

5. Lying out doors reading and then difting off into the book's world with my eyes closed and the sun on my face.

6. When I finally do something that I've been excited about and it actually lives up to the hype

7. A day well spent and a to-do list completed

8. Finishing a project I started

9. When I drop somehting and in that single moment so many emotions hit me as I anticipate the aftermath, and then it doesn't break.

10. When I'm the bigger person in an interaction and I don't brag, don't congratulate myself, just weigh the feeling and resolve to do it again soon.
