“Neal didn't take Georgie's breath away. Maybe the opposite. But that was okay--that was really good, actually, to be near someone who filled your lungs with air.” - Rainbow Rowell

This is the second book I have read by Rainbow Rowell and so far they have both been absolutely delightful. She writes both young adult and adult books and I've found her to be incredibly talented in both areas.

Landline is a book about a marriage on the rocks and the unexpected way that Georgie, the protagonist, goes about reevaluating her current situation in life. The book itself is unexpected! It's both funny and heartwarming and had me a little teary at the end. While the characters, plot, and dialogue are all great, it's Rowell's understanding of people and what's at the heart of them that sells me on each of her books. Not to mention the plethora of M*A*S*H references!

I can't wait to read Fangirl next!
