"...art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.” - Rainbow Rowell

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's hard to express how surprising this was. Even a cynical person like me felt like my heart was both breaking and fluttering as I read the refreshing story of these two teenagers. Rainbow Rowell tells the story in a way that just sweeps you along and immediately invests you in the relationship between Eleanor & Park. The characters have a depth and relatable humanity that's often missing from YA love stories. Mostly, I felt that the writing assumed intelligence on the part of the readers. I really highly recommend this. It's an "easy-read" in the sense that I read it in a day, but the depth of the story and its implications has stayed with me and left me thinking for a while after... "Nothing ever ends"
