"The world may be broken, but hope is not crazy" - John Green

Today kicks off the Youtube Project for Awesome 2014! If you're not sure what that is, look it up! Here's my attempt at a short explanation:

Every year the youtube community, led by the Vlogbrothers (John and Hank Green) put on a 48-hour livestream event while raising money for various charities. Throughout the 48 hours content creators and post their own Youtube videos promoting certain charities. Meanwhile people vote on videos/charities to receive the money that is raised during the event. The campaign raises money by offerring cool perks to donors for contributing certain amounts of money. The perks range from the silly, to the cool, to the extremely rare.

I love the P4A because it makes me feel like I'm part of a larger community of people who genuinely care about the world around them and the people in it. If you're looking for a break from the depressing news of the world and you want to rejuvinate your faith in humanity, check out the P4A. And if you're feeling generous vote and give.
